Yeti Hopper Flip Portable Cooler

Some of Yeti’s coolers are up to 30% off for Prime members.

Coleman Triton Propane Stove

Last updated on 2019-11-20 at 08:02. Product links and images from Amazon Product Advertising API.

We’ve tested the Triton alongside six other camping stoves for our upcoming buying guide. It excels at simmering and, compared to the Coleman Classic, the Triton has a slimmer and more streamlined design.

Our testing showed that it’s not the best camping stove out there, but when it’s on sale it’s a good value. For Prime members it’s currently 34% off.

GoPro HERO7 Black

Sale

Last updated on 2019-11-20 at 04:02. Product links and images from Amazon Product Advertising API.

The HERO7 Black, the latest in GoPro’s HERO lineup, is on sale for a sizable discount. One noteworthy feature is the HERO7 Black’s built-in video stabilization, aka “HyperSmooth.” That’s right — no more shaky GoPro videos.

Kindle Paperwhite

Last updated on 2019-11-20 at 08:02. Product links and images from Amazon Product Advertising API.

As usual, Kindles are available at heavy discounts this Prime Day. I love reading at night when I go camping and backpacking, and there’s no better way I’ve found to read in the backcountry than with a Kindle.

UST 30-Day Duro LED Lantern

Last updated on 2019-11-20 at 05:54. Product links and images from Amazon Product Advertising API.

The Duro is our top pick in our guide to the best camping lanterns. It was our favorite after field testing it alongside six other lanterns.

Battery life is where it truly shines. UST claims that the Duro will last 720 hours on its lowest setting and 22 hours on its highest. Claimed runtimes should always be taken with a grain of salt, but these figures felt roughly accurate in our testing. We never felt let down by the battery life.

Black Diamond Spot Headlamp

Last updated on 2019-11-20 at 08:02. Product links and images from Amazon Product Advertising API.

The Spot wasn’t our favorite headlamp we tested, but it’s a decent headlamp on sale for a decent discount.

For its size it packs a lot of lumens and clocked a respectable runtime of well over 20 hours during our testing. It weighs 3.1 oz and takes 3 AAA batteries.

ExOfficio Men’s & Women’s Give-N-Go Underwear, Two Pack

Last updated on 2019-11-20 at 08:02. Product links and images from Amazon Product Advertising API.

ExOfficio underwear is ideal for outdoor activities such as hiking and climbing. It’s durable, breathable, and comes with an odor-reducing antimicrobial treatment. The first pair I bought has lasted me for nearly four years and still looks new.

Morakniv Companion Fixed Blade Knife

Last updated on 2019-11-20 at 02:24. Product links and images from Amazon Product Advertising API.

The Companion is our top pick in our guide to the best camping knives. It’s affordable, tough, versatile, and can handle any camp cutting task with ease. This current deal on select colors gives it even more bang for your buck.

LifeStraw Personal Water Filter

Last updated on 2019-11-20 at 04:02. Product links and images from Amazon Product Advertising API.

The LifeStraw is a cheap ultralight backpacking water filter. You have to lie down to use it which means it isn’t the most practical for trips where you’ll be filtering lots of water, but it could be a good back-up filter or your primary one for short trips.

How to Get the Most Out of Amazon Prime Day 2019

Make sure you’re actually getting a good deal on a good product with these tips.

1. Sign Up for Amazon Prime

Only Prime members can access Prime Day deals. If you don’t have Amazon Prime yet, start your 30-day free trial here.

2. Browse Curated Deal Lists

Curated deal lists like this one help you quickly separate the wheat from the chaff. Many of the deals aren’t worth your money, so enlist the help of a review team (whether it’s us or another site) that knows what’s good and what’s not.

3. Use Price Trackers to Make Sure You’re Getting a Real Deal

Price trackers such as CamelCamelCamel allow you to see the price history of a product on Amazon. That way, you can see if the deal you’re considering is actually a good one.

4. Use Fakespot to Spot Fake Reviews

Fakespot.com analyzes fake reviews for products on Amazon and other top online retailers like Walmart and Best Buy.

We recommend plugging the products you’re thinking of buying into Fakespot to see if they have fake positive reviews. If there are lots of them, you’ll probably want to steer clear of that product.
